Itinerary
Start your day with a visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, where you’ll see pandas at all life stages, including adorable baby pandas (Aug–Oct) and the famous “Director Hua.” Learn about panda conservation while enjoying close-up viewing opportunities.
Next, explore the Wide and Narrow Alley, a cultural hotspot of restored Qing Dynasty architecture. Stroll past teahouses, craft shops, and local snack stalls, and experience Chengdu’s laid-back lifestyle. Lunch is at your own expense, with recommendations for authentic Sichuan cuisine.
In the afternoon, visit the Jinsha Site Museum, home to relics of the ancient Shu Kingdom (12th–7th century BC). See gold, jade, ivory, and bronze artifacts, including the exquisite Sun and Immortal Birds Gold Ornament, and gain insight into ancient Chinese life.
