Along the way, enjoy the northern scenery of thousands of miles of ice peaks and vast snowfields, while listening to the tour guide’s introduction to Yabuli.
Yabuli Ski Tourism Resort is a national AAAA-level scenic spot, located 20 kilometers southeast of Yabuli Town, Shangzhi City, and 197 kilometers away from Harbin.
It consists of three mountain peaks of the Zhangguangcai Ridge in the Changbai Mountain Range:
the main peak Dagukui Mountain with an altitude of 1,374.8 meters, Ergukui Mountain at 1,100 meters, and Sangukui Mountain at 1,000 meters.
The area is full of competing peaks and vast forest seas, with abundant snowfall. The maximum snow depth can reach more than 1 meter, and the annual snow period lasts for 150 days. Skiing is available from November each year to late March of the following year.
[Forest Train + Reindeer Park]
Take the forest train through Dagukui Mountain and Ergukui Mountain to enjoy the snowy forest scenery, visit the Russian-style park buildings with Nordic characteristics, and see the giant Christmas tree. After the train arrives, visit the Reindeer Park and have close interaction with the reindeer.
[Beginner Skiing – 3 hours]
(Includes: ski boots, skis, and ski poles; complimentary: goggles and ski suit.) Personally experience the thrilling and exciting sport of skiing.
Day 3 Yabuli – Snow Town
After breakfast, take a bus to Horse-drawn Sled + Snow Tubing to enter the primitive forest. Along the way, visit the birch forest and feel the heroic spirit of Yang Zirong in the snowy forest. Ride the horse-drawn sleigh, a traditional transportation method of Northeast China, while humming folk songs of the Northeast region, waving the whip and galloping through the snowfields.
Experience the distinctive bandit culture of Northeast China — talk in local “bandit slang” with the performers, visit the Gathering Hall to witness a simulated bandit meeting, and explore the “bandit wedding room” to experience their customs. Enter the “bandit den” to see whether “being a bandit means no worries — wives and children wait by the warm kang bed.” Participate in an interactive “bride-snatching” performance.
[Yabuli–Snow Town Mountain Road]
This road is an important route for Snow Town tourism — the most convenient and shortest connection between Yabuli and Harbin, and also the most beautiful snow-viewing road.
Here you can find:
thousands of miles of frozen land and flying snow;
the fairy-tale dreamland of Snow Town;
a snow film base for Northeast folk customs;
and locations used in famous Chinese film and TV works such as Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy, Yang Zirong, The Migration to the Northeast, and Where Are We Going, Dad?
[Yabuli’s Most Beautiful Alpine Rime]
The formation of rime requires sufficient water vapor and extremely low temperatures. Seeing this magnificent natural scene depends on perfect timing and weather. If you are lucky enough to see it, don’t forget to capture the beauty of this “Oriental Alps” with your camera!
[Datudingzi Mountain + Snowmobile]
Ride a snowmobile across the forest and snowfields for an exciting journey through the icy wilderness. Climb to the mountaintop, step deep and shallow through the snow, roll and lie on the fluffy snow like cotton candy, leaving your own imprint. At this moment, the cold is forgotten — admire the crystal-clear alpine snow pines and shimmering frost-covered trees.
[Ice and Snow Gallery + Snow Spinning Ride + Snow Dragon]
The world is all white, sky and earth covered in thick snow, with some places reaching waist-deep. When you step into this “Ice and Snow Gallery,” you truly enter the world of snow.
You can walk through the forest and cross the snowfields, visit Weihu Village to see local folk architecture, interact with “bandits,” and explore the Shaman Culture Park to experience the traditions of different ethnic groups.
This is also the home of Boonie Bears and Logger Vick! You can enjoy fun snow activities such as Snow Spinning Rides and Snow Dragons, and relive your childhood memories.
[China Snow Town]
Drive to China Snow Town, originally named Shuangfeng Forest Farm, located at the junction of the Zhangguangcai Ridge and Laoye Ridge, covering an area of 500 hectares.
The entire area sits at an altitude above 1,000 meters. With long winters and frequent snowfall, there is a local saying “no three days of clear skies.”
Summers are rainy and winters snowy, with a snow cover lasting up to seven months — the deepest and finest snow in China, known for its high stickiness and purity, earning it the name “China’s Snow Town.”
[Northeast Er Ren Zhuan (Comic Skit Performance)]
“Better to skip a meal than miss an Er Ren Zhuan show.”
Enjoy this classic folk performance and feel the charm of Northeast culture.
[Northeast Folk Yangko Dance] + [Parade of Floats]
At the Snow Town Stone Monument, you can watch these shows (organized by the Snow Town Forestry Bureau; if timing conflicts with Er Ren Zhuan, no refund or replacement will be provided).
Put on the bright and colorful Yangko costumes and dance along Snow Charm Street, adding a vibrant touch to the white snow.
[Mass Snow Disco] + [Drone Show]

These are organized by the Snow Town Forestry Bureau and are complimentary activities.
If they are canceled during the forest fire prevention period, no refund or replacement will be provided.
Day 4 Snow Town – Erdaobaihe
[Northeast People’s Morning Market]
Enjoy the morning scenery of Snow Town. Vendors dressed in fur coats sell their goods, full of festive New Year atmosphere! Various Northeast snacks are displayed on the snow and ice: New Year rice balls, stove sugar, frozen persimmons, and various frozen fruits. Feel the original, pure, and vibrant atmosphere of Snow Town. You can chat with local elderly people, let children buy sugar-coated hawthorn skewers, or simply bury yourself in the thick, pure white snow — all to experience the strong “Old Northeast New Year flavor.”
[Snow Town Aerial Photography]
Capture your wonderful moments in Snow Town and leave beautiful memories with your family!
[Water Turning to Ice]
This natural phenomenon occurs in some northern regions in extremely cold weather. When hot water is poured into the air, the water vapor quickly cools and crystallizes into ice, forming distinct line-shaped visual effects.
[Snow Town Post Office]
Visit the Snow Town Post Office to send a postcard to your future self and leave a beautiful memory of your trip!
[Xueyun Street]
Stroll along the most characteristic street in Snow Town, breathe the fresh air of nature, and watch snow hanging from rooftops down to the ground, forming a unique “snow curtain.”
[Bangchuishan Scenic Boardwalk]
The boardwalk is 3,200 meters long and passes sights such as Bangchuiping, Guajiaoting, and Jiangjunting, eventually reaching the peak — the Infinity Viewpoint. Along the way, you can overlook snow-covered rural houses, red lanterns hanging high, curling smoke from chimneys, corn and red chili hanging under the eaves — Snow Town is full of beautiful scenery. Take your time to photograph and capture the beauty of Snow Town.
[Dream Home]
Visit the filming locations of famous TV dramas such as Crossing the Northeast and Somewhere in Winter. Climb to the first viewing platform of Snow Town to overlook the entire town and enjoy the most beautiful mushroom-shaped snow cakes in full view. Day 5 Erdaobaihe – Devil’s Trench Rafting – Changbai Mountain – Yanji
After breakfast, pick up guests at the hotel and head to the famous Devil’s Trench Rafting in Changbai Mountain. Here, it looks like a traditional Chinese ink painting, and standing here, one cannot help but marvel at the wonders of nature. It feels as if you are transported to a magical world far from the hustle and bustle of the mundane world.
Ride quietly on a rubber raft and admire the tree trunks lying on the banks yet still standing stubbornly in the steaming hot spring water. See the snow-covered trees, and watch the mist swirling mysteriously over the river, appearing and disappearing. The scenery changes constantly, resembling the “Devil’s Realm” described in martial arts novels, leaving visitors enchanted.
Then, take a bus to Changbai Mountain, one of China’s ten famous mountains, enjoying the winter northern scenery along the way. Arrive at the Erdaobaihe Town Transfer Center and the Changbai Mountain entrance. Transfer to the eco-friendly shuttle bus to enter the scenic area and visit the dense Changbai Mountain primeval forest and the graceful birch forest.
At the Daozhan stop, take the Tianchi Shuttle Bus to climb to the 2,700-meter-high peak and view Heaven Lake of Changbai Mountain, China’s largest natural high-altitude volcanic lake, formed by strong volcanic eruptions. Standing at the top, you can see the frozen Heaven Lake, like a jewel embedded on the mountaintop. (In winter, viewing Heaven Lake depends on weather conditions; if it cannot be seen due to weather, do not worry.)
Next, visit the Changbai Waterfall, the volcanic lake waterfall with the largest drop in the world. On the north side of Changbai Mountain, water from Heaven Lake suddenly plunges down between Longmen and Tianpo peaks, forming the 70-meter-high Changbai Waterfall. The frozen waterfall in winter is even more magnificent.
Then, explore the Julong Hot Springs, whose water temperature remains constant throughout the four seasons. Changbai Mountain has dozens of hot springs scattered among the snow-covered mountains and forests, a perfect blend of ice and fire. The springs contain trace elements such as hydrogen sulfide, creating a colorful and spectacular view. You can also try specialty items such as hot spring eggs and corn at your own expense.
Visit the beautiful Green Pool (Lüyuantan) and experience the splashing ice waterfalls in this mysterious and serene area. The water is green, the ice waterfalls are spectacular, and the scenery is like a paradise on earth.
Return down the mountain to Erdaobaihe and take a bus to Yanji, check in to the hotel, concluding your enjoyable winter journey at Changbai Mountain.
[Yanbian University – Famous Lamp Sign Wall]
This location is full of cultural atmosphere, and the architecture has unique ethnic characteristics. This is a famous landmark in Yanji, filled with Korean signs, creating a visually striking scene. Many people are drawn to Yanji because of this spot. Even casual photos can look like Korean-style photography.

Then visit West Market, which has five floors. The first floor offers a wide variety of food, while the upper floors sell clothes, daily necessities, and everything you might need. Even if you spend half a day here, you might not be able to see everything. There are plenty of delicious foods to take home, as well as Korean snacks that usually can only be purchased online, but here you can get them wholesale. Small Korean souvenirs are also available at the roadside folk shops, making it hard to stop browsing. Today, West Market has become a trendy check-in spot for tourists.
